Memorial Day Weekend 2014

We went on our annual camping trip at Fort MCallister. We weren't share how Blaze would do but were ready to try. Our first getaway since he's been with us, I was PAST ready. 

We went Thursday night through Monday morning. Saturday and Sunday we had The DeLoach family 

come stay with us, along with Joe and Raisa. Danielle also came down everyday but didn't stay.

Blaze was wonderful. Besides coming down with a really snotty nose and a bit of a cough, he was great. Camping is definitely different than it was but not to stressful. We really enjoyed hanging out with everyone.

Thank you for being my son. Thank you for looking for me when you are tired or sad. Thank you for being my first smile in the morning. Blaze, you make me so happy and bring something to my life I never knew existed.

I knew I loved you before I even met you but I never thought I'd love you like this.

You are my everyday. You are what I do. 

You are my job. You are my choice. 

You are my baby and that I thank the man above, God for. He blessed Daddy and I when he gave us you.

Today was Mothers Day. I spent it with both of my guys. The only difference was, Daddy was here. I am thankful for your everyday presence because I don't remember what life was like without you. (Besides peaceful car rides & sleeping through the night... I remember those days, HA)

Your First Easter.

Seriously? Could you have gotten any cuter? No way. This turned out EXACTLY how I imagined it only I really didn't think it would turn out this good. You did perfect. Daddy and I had too much fun this night.

You make me so happy Blaze.

Easter morning

Okay okay. Momma did NOT brush my hair before this family photo. Clearly. But more importantly Peter cottontail brought you a basket full of goodies. Two Thomas the Train DVDs, a beach towel, a bathing suit, flip flops, a swimsuit shirt and your very first bible. 

Oh Blaze. We are so in love with you. 

Our Day

We spent a few hours at Grandma and Papas with the whole family & then ventured to

Grammyes for dinner with Grandma & Granddaddy and that gang. 

It was a very long day, you hung in there as everyone passed you around and played with you.

The Easter Egg Hunt was great. 123 to find & you found two. 

Okay okay. Not really. You found...

ZERO.

Why? Because you passed out as SOON as the hunt started.

At the end of the day, Momma was SO tired and so were you. 

This Easter was truly wonderful but know there is so much more to Easter than bunny ears and Easter egg hunts. We planned to go to church this morning, sadly I have to admit we didn't due to to time management. No excuse. One day when you are old enough to understand, I will explain everything about Easter and it's true meaning. It's pretty big.

Well I couldn't let Valentines Day be the only cute holiday picture.

Annnd of course I fell in love and started brainstorming.

It's a known thing that we usually go downtown with ALL the DeLoachs

celebrating this day. That was our plan this year however mother nature had different plans.

It rain. A lot.

Again, Mr. Daniel, Mrs. Candice & RaeLynn planned to meet us at our house at 6am.

If the weather wasn't bad we were gonna go.

WAAY too early for Miss RaeLynn.

We ended up at Cracker Barrel for breakfast and then came home. 

Aunt D came to hang out too.

It ended up being a fun day watching the parade on TV, eating Daddy's low country boil and playing cards.

Your First Valentines Day

You were pretty popular on Mommas Facebook this day. 

As a HUGE fan of the TV show, The Bachelor/ette you HAD.TO.HAVE this shirt when I came

across it before you were born so I thought putting a rose with it would be perfection.

After a work day for Daddy we met up with Mr. Daniel, Mrs. Candice & RaeLynn 

and headed to a place in Hilton Head called Jim & Nicks. 

It was really tasty. 

It was a great night out with our little family a a few friends.

You & Daddy will always be my Valentine.
