Ruff Ruff, you're a crawler.

I mean, really.
You're the cutest of ALL cute.

...............................

Aunt Sue Sue made you this when she was down from New York when you were just 2 weeks old. Have I ever mentioned you make me so happy.
I never knew love, this kind of love before you came.

Even though these pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago, I must jott down the date. As of yesterday, you are a FULL TIME crawler.  It's the weirdest crawl I've ever seen but yes, you're everywhere. Not only are you crawling but you are pulling up and wanting to stand always.

BUSY. BUSY. BUSY

always. everyday. every moment.
Except nap times. In which have gotten longer because you wear yourself out.

green beans everywhere.

First time eating green beans = success.
You love all your veggies so far. Yayyy!

This was Daddy's first time feeding you baby food...

Whoa. Wow. Yikes.

I'm not sure who was messier...
You or Him.

Y'all had a great start.
You pretty much dominate with the spoon so it wasn't the spoon.

I think he got too excited and fed you to much at one time.
I'm still not positive on what exactly was happening.
Maybe just
 A.LITTLE.TOO.MUCH.FUN!

Have I ever mentioned you look just like him?

He just let you play play play.

I was secretly screaming inside but loved watching your mind go.
Maybe you'll be an artist one day.

GREEN BEANS EVERYWHERE.

Give me more, MOM!

First time eating cereal.
You loved it. Clearly.

There isn't much to say about this.
Your expression says it all.

in just three months.

Written on April 10, 2014

Our baby is 3 months old today! WOW! I feel like we've come a long way this month. Yaaay! (&& they say month 4 is even better, whoo-hoo)

Blaze is SO MUCH FUN. He smiles all day long. Loves people, Sebastian the crab (The Little Mermaid), anything with BIG eyes, and bath time. Blaze is unhappy when Momma puts him in his swing, boy is he getting smart. Basically he is too good for it. He does NOT like momma to even SIT in the glider when he is the least bit tired but still loves to be rocked, make sense? He is a full time tummy sleeper (DO NOT TELL Dr. Stone, please) . And I thought I didn't want a video monitor, HA! Blaze is focusing in on everything. He loves to cuddle but still isn't a fan of the cradle position. He KNOWS he is handsome. He coos, talks and even sings - it's music to Momma's & Daddy's ears. We love hearing him to go on and on and on...
Blaze can hold his head up with NO help, always. This month he has grown super strong in his legs and loves to stand up, he looks so proud when he does. Not so crazy about the fan anymore. That's old school. Blaze absolutely, 110% hates riding in the car alone in the backseat. He has never been a fan since he was just 5 days old however now that he KNOWS what's up... he makes Momma and Daddy go into complete anxiety and sometimes it takes F.O.R.E.V.E.R to get home. Yes, I am that mom. Our baby has a mullet. Literally. All his hair has fallen out except for the hairline. This bothers daddy SOOOO much.

Momma and Daddy...
we are getting the hang of things. Sometimes. We have come so far (I say that taking a HUGE deep breath). The "new normal" is becoming "the normal'. What was life like without this fella? (Easy) Since we have found out about how well he does on his belly, nap times are longer which helps Momma feel normal and is able to get things done. Sometimes. We love our little guy.

How life has changed? We sleep sideways in our King size bed giving Blaze HALF of it. We are scared to get to close. Blaze has a bedtime now... HOLY MOLY, yes it's true. We put him to bed and then it's "Momma and Daddy time". This makes life nice.

We are even more in love with our happy baby!

in just two months

Blaze is two months old today. SO many never-ending days and nights yet time is moving so fast. Everyday is different. Our little guy is growing so fast. If I had to guess, I'd say close to 11lbs. Everyday he becomes more attentive. He can sit up using props but of course not very well. Blaze holds his head on his own with an occasional wobble. Wearing 3 month clothes and a smile that is so bright. Blaze is still infatuated with the ceiling fan, only now he talks to it. He loves anything with a face. Ollie the octopus and his three little bears get him so tickled he squeaks. He is getting better riding in the car seat but still keeps his Mom and Dad on edge waiting for that freak out moment. Sleeping a little better at nap time and pretty much still every 2 hours at night with an occasional 3 hours. He is our daily smile.

Momma and Daddy
... YAWN. Momma is still tired more than she is not. That being said, little sleep is getting easier. Sometimes. We are having so fun watching his expressions. He has a million and one. Blaze puts us up for a run. When we think we have to down pat and got this parenthood going on, the tables turns. We have experienced his first horrible tummy ache, which made Momma cry too. We have learned to feel sorry for the parent whose kid is crying rather than the kid who is crying. We have learned to NOT say, "We won't" or "He won't" - we choose our words very carefully. Month two has been easier yet still tough. Lots of struggles. We are learning everyday. It's much easier to pull through a drive thru and ask for a cup of hot water rather than putting the bottle between your legs, under your butt, sitting in pure heat trying to warm it up with the car heater... my goodness, where is the BOOK of how to make parenthood a bit easier. Who knew you should not use Johnson & Johnson on your kids face... well I learned that too. We had two date nights which were much needed and did wonders for us. Never take advantage of eating slow and Walmart trips. Ive never been so excited to buy Shampoo and conditioner. Month two has been fun. It's been tough. It's had it's struggles but most of all it's brought more love to all three of our lives.

my beautiful son.

Your hospital pictures. Awe. They melt me. You were only two days old. Your hands stayed balled up and held tight. Your fingernails were so sharp and grew daily. Literally. Your feet were big. Everyone talked about them. You weren't fond of them being touched. Your toes were long like Daddy's. You had my upper lip. Your birth mark was hidden on the back of your neck in your hair line. Again, like Daddy's. Everyone said you looked like Uncle Brian and Daddy. Some said they had no idea. You had so much hair - the look of golden blonde with hence of red through many off. I'll admit, at times it looked red, at times it looked blonde. Daddy and Grandma Ellen went back and forth everyday on what color your hair was. They had fun with it. Me, I didn't care. You were so perfect. I could not believe you were mine. Ours. I  could not believe I was your mother. At night, I could not take my eyes off of you. That still happens three months later. I love/d to watch you sleep. All the world was so busy with so much to see, so much to learn but the most person site was seeing you sleep on me. It was your favorite place and instantly became my favorite place for you. You are a love that is indescribable. You are the most perfect thing in the world. You are my beautiful son.
